Two tiny plants have shown up in the strawberry peat pots. Ha! The tall ones are weeds! Now I’m curious enough to let them stay and see what they are, though, since they’re all on the periphery and don’t seem to be bothering the strawberries yet. When they do, they’re history. Unless they’re tomatoes.  Their cotyledons look about right for that–but I don’t know how much that tells me.

Also, the broccoli leaves aren’t circles, they’re two fused circles. How very odd. And endlessly fascinating. Who’d have thought cotyledons would enthrall me?
