Thanks, Jen. (I just found your comment in spam…I don’t know what it is, but apparently WordPress just doesn’t like you.) I’ll have to take care of my lemon sometime soon, then. I’m just waiting for it to be consistently warm enough for it to go outside at night. Yay spring!

Ack on the greenhouse! At least you were able to get everything situated okay. I hope the smushed plants come back; they may.

As for the Meyer Lemon, citrus trees do get all sticky in the spring time. It’s the sap. Just make sure it’s cleaned off regularly and doesn’t get dust and dirt caught on the leaves; that’s how the black mold stuff that they are prone to catching starts.

My orange tree hasn’t started the sticky yet. I’m hoping for blooms this year, though; it’s only lost a few leaves all winter long.

I think the posts had just come loose, Monica. It probably doesn’t help that I had the brakes on the wheels, to keep it from moving, but it also jarred the whole structure more when I moved it. I’m paying a lot more attention to it now, and taking the brakes off.

Kristi, I’m hoping that too. Some of them are up already, so it can’t have hurt them too much, right?

Mike, “Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger,” huh? I suppose that applies to the plants too.

That sucks, spills are awful, but plants generally like to bounce back…growing no matter what is what they seem to do!

On the upside, like going through really bad weather, I’ve found surviving plant accidents somehow makes me more relaxed and confident and practical…

Damn, that is a bad morning. Maybe all the jostling and movement will make them a little stronger. Until then they were pampered little seedlings now they will be resilient plants.

Wow–what a bummer to find the greenhouse collapsed! I think scallions grow pretty fast to redo, though. Did you ever figure out what was wrong with the greenhouse?!
